running b00ntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 with madwifi and a realtek rtl8187 both custom installed with airdriver-ng

My iwconfig

root@HackBookPro:/home/jeroen# iwconfig

          Retry:on Fragment thr:off
Link Quality=78/100 Signal level=-203 dBm Noise level=-234 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0

ath0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"" Nickname:""
          Mode:Managed Channel:0 Access Point: Not-Associated
          Bit Rate:0 kb/s Tx-Power:0 dBm Sensitivity=1/1
          Retry:off RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Encryption key:off
          Power Management:off
Link Quality=0/70 Signal level=-256 dBm Noise level=-256 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

Now when I run airmon-ng I get a weird error message:

root@HackBookPro:/home/jeroen# airmon-ng stop wlan0
/usr/local/sbin/airmon-ng: 229: Syntax error: redirection unexpected
root@HackBookPro:/home/jeroen#

Both the atheros card and realtek card give me that same error.
